🌩️ Call for Submissions: Hearts of Thunder — Issue No. 1 (Spring 2026)

Theme: Sensory Perception

(Seeing the unseen. Feeling the world in high definition.)

Hearts of Thunder is a new digital literary magazine created **by and for Highly Sensitive Persons (HSPs)** — those who move through life attuned to subtleties, textures, and quiet intensities. We are the listeners, the empaths, the deep feelers. We see beauty where others glance past.

Our debut issue, “Sensory Perception,” invites you to explore the extraordinary within the ordinary — the taste of silence, the weight of color, the electricity of human connection. How does your sensitivity shape the way you see, hear, touch, and know the world?

We welcome:

Essays — Personal reflections, lyrical nonfiction, meditations on sensory experience (up to 2,500 words)

Poetry — Up to 5 poems that engage the senses or emotional perception

Visual Art — Photography, illustration, painting, or mixed media (up to 5 pieces, high-res preferred)

Whether your work whispers softly or hums beneath the skin, we want to experience the world through _your_ senses.

✉️ Submission Guidelines

Submissions open: November 1 – January 15, 2026**

Send your work as a Word or PDF file (artwork as high-res JPEG or PNG).

Include a brief bio (75 words max) and a short note about what being an HSP means to you (optional).

Simultaneous submissions are welcome; please notify us if accepted elsewhere.

No entry fee.

Contributors receive publication and a featured artist/writer spotlight on our website and social media.

We require first publication rights for all accepted submissions. All rights revert back to the author/artist upon publication.
